07 Wk 8 - Saints Win at 49ers - 5 of 6
| Brees & Co. proved to be too much for the 49ers. After throwing an interception to 49ers CB Shawntae Spencer early in the game, Saints QB Drew Brees regained his composure quickly and went on to spread the ball with precision, accuracy, and touch, going on to pass for three touchdowns. Saints TE Billy Miller stepped up admirably for an injured Jeremey Shockey, and Saints placekicker Garrett Hartley proved Denver made a mistake when they released him, kicking two field goals where both were from beyond 50 yards. The 49ers played decently on both sides of the ball, but could not withstand the Saints' offensive firepower. The 9ers drop to 4 and 3. |
